PIRC relies on the hard work of individuals like you to accomplish our mission of providing access to justice to vulnerable immigrants. We invite community volunteers to assist us with language support, administrative and professional assistance, and other special projects. Without the support of your time and talent we would not be able to provide services to as many individuals in need!

  • Social Media Intern
  • MSW Intern
  • Language Volunteers (see Language Support below): Tigrinya, Spanish, Arabic, French
  • Medical Professionals to provide medical/psychological evaluations

Become a part of our Language Registry! A critical part of ensuring access to justice involves addressing language access issues.  PIRC maintains a list of volunteers with language skills who are able to provide interpretation and/or translation services on behalf of individuals with limited English proficiency. Volunteers control the types of services and amount of time they wish to dedicate to this project. When language skills are needed, PIRC contacts volunteers directly for assistance. Simply enlisting for the registry in no way obligates a volunteer! To enlist on the Language Registry, please complete and submit the Language Registry Form.

Volunteer your time and talent! PIRC has an ongoing need for assistance with professional services.  Below are some examples of past volunteer opportunities:

  • Serve as an expert witness
  • Provide medical or psychological exams
  • Conduct PIRC staff trainings

Help us help others! PIRC has an ongoing need for assistance with administrative tasks and projects.  These tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with PIRC functions and event planing
  • Performing clerical duties, including filing, mailings, and answering phone

PIRC will occasionally have volunteer needs for special projects involving research, events, community education, and other initiatives.  Any special project opportunities will be listed at the top of this page.To volunteer for an administrative or professional position, please complete the application below.
