The Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center (PIRC) provides high quality legal services so that vulnerable immigrants and their families have access to justice and a more secure future.

WHAT WE DO

Our programs provide access to justice for vulnerable immigrants at risk of detention or deportation, and immigrant survivors of violence through legal services, education, and advocacy.

Removal Defense

Our removal defense programs help educate detained immigrants about their rights and provides free legal representation to immigrants in detention or in the community who are facing removal or separation from their families.

Legal help for survivors

Our Immigrant Survivors Project (ISP) provides client-centered legal services to immigrant survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, & other violent crimes throughout the state of Pennsylvania.

of detained individuals in removal proceedings receive no legal representation. The Legal Orientation Program fills a critical gap in the system by increasing access to justice for thousands of individuals each year.

EDUCATION

Access to justice begins with an understanding of individual rights under law. PIRC educates immigrants in detention and  community about their legal options.

ADVOCACY

PIRC advocates for greater capacity and systems chance through language access assistance, partnerships with law schools and universities, and legal training and education.

PIRC provides access to justice through legal services: Direct representation, coordination of pro bono legal assistance, and pro se assistance.
